When the Past Won'T Stay There
Do
you have
days when your
mind cannot focus on
the now and insists on going
down memory lane, and you just
know that your going to hurt yourself
like you did many times before with the bitter
remembrances that you have tried so hard to bury
and then there you go, letting them surface again insane.
The pain crawling through your thoughts like a physical
thing that it was back then when you were too young
to deal with it and you just cowered and cried
hoping that it would just go away again
If you just waited there in your
private hiding place where
it felt safe and warm
and no one knew
where you
were
ah!
