When Poets Sang

In a time when poets sang
I in shame of comfort bless
Being buried in the heart of the savior
Those whose customs test
Gathered spontaneous
Reach for precious tears release
Drifting into place
Embrace our silent screams request
To challenge the doctrine
That separates man from God
To master love we test our resolve
To speak or just ignore my collective prophesies
Wandering clouds crucified
By the wine and dine of delights
Generate a buzz to pollinate the prodigy
In my deformed opinion
My wary hands and feet escape the nails
With no sign of life
God on the loose
The Lamb on the wind
In a time when poets sang
