When I Called For You

When I called for the cows They all came home The gate was closed And they dare not roam But you my love No matter how loud I called Deafness reigned upon your ears No response at all Your selfish fine tuned pathways Served you oh so well But this I know my love When I called for the cows They all came home The gate was closed And they dare not roam I put you on a pedestal I gave you oh so much My heart my soul my body And physical gifts and such But you my love No matter how loud I called Deafness reigned upon your ears No response at all I thought that now That you are gone I could find some resolution my love But this I know my love When I called for the cows They all came home The gate was closed And they dare not roam I stare at the box upon the shelf Loaded with dark ashes Once a dipiction of yourself No longer can I call you Nore you turn a deaf ear But this I know my love When I called for the cows They all came home The gate was closed And they dare not roam.

I enjoyed the logic of these words. Sometimes the cow are better friends than our lovers. I liked the flow of the words leading to the honest ending. Thank you Kelli for sharing the amazing poetry.

Hi Kelli, I agree with Silent, this is a most interesting poem. This is a well crafted piece Kelli, your words ever flowing. Your heart sings its song and i for one have enjoyed the listening of the song. This is so different it has to be a seven Kelli....Vlad.

Thank you Vlad. Cows want to eat. An alcoholic wants to drink. I think I figured it out. Cows are repetitive by nature. Ty God bless my friend

He never answered and I know not why but the cows always came when I called.
