What Makes For a Funny Kid

Kid's Poetry Contest What Makes for a Funny Kid It’s not just the smile that I enjoy As he plays with his favorite toy I watch him try to spin a top Ice cream to the floor goes plop He piles so much into his day So much to do, hooray, hooray He’s funny when he plays outside Chases butterflies on the glide The funniest thing for me to see He tries to climb up in a tree Rolling down a hill is fun No rain today thanks to the sun At the end of each and every day Outside is where he wants to stay Mom calls him in with a ringing bell Read him a story he’ll sleep quite well

Jan, Thanks for the comment. Now I'm wondering how I can clean up the beginning and end of my poem, since the EDIT button seems to be missing. Cheers, Don
