What Makes a Poem Sing
The scenes of nature, Oh so sweet
On seasons that come ‘twixt and ‘tween
First comes the cold, then scorching heat
And sunrises on horizons seen…
And when a child falls on the ground
A kiss to send them on their way
With big bear hugs felt all around
Or when children lay down to pray…
When trials of life, and troubles fall
A touch of someone you hold dear
And pictures that hang on the wall
Inspiration may come with a tear…
For when the words on paper ring…
That is what makes a poem sing!
