- What Is Grief -

Grief can be many things. Losing some of their nearest A father, mother, sister, brother, or his own child A while back, death was taboo We did not talk about it Grief you should wear alone We are all different, providing each our way Different cultures and ways of life We have become a little more open in our grief share our grief with others. if we share our grief, it becomes a little easier to bear But it is still there, you as a fellow human dare to hug not turn youself away even though other cries Rather wipe the tear away * Four weeks ago disappeared a 16 year old girl here in Norway, No trace of her ... Major exploration crew every day. Yesterday they found her ..... dead - killed. For a grieving family must bear. Such things happen every day 04. You speak the truth Anne Lise. Our expression of grief has certainly changed but that does not lessen it's impact. Well written!

Anne It is truly painful to hear about a loved one disappear and then know that young children are being abducted and then found dead. And yes it is a huge grief to that beautiful family loosing someone. Your writing has really brought tears in my eyes and each word so beautifully expressed. Sadly its happening everwhere and there is no stopping to it. Takecare Anne

High Anne Lise Heart touching. While thinking over it I found myself writing another poem. I thoth we can share it with you: The deeper the sorrow carves into a being The more joy one can contain The cup that holds wine is the very cup that was refined in the potter's oven Embrace the pain and burn it as fuel for the journey to hereafter The pain will surely pass, but the beauty will forever remain He that conceals his grief finds no remedy for it He who shouts out his grief ends up in a resolved silence Love is a fabric that never fades, no matter how often it is washed in tears The dirty waters of adversity and grief never wets the fabric of love

Heart-stricken to hear of such satanic acts, Anne Lise...They must feel devastated this day.....your poem is a kind gesture of human love and kindness...each and every culture expresses grief differently. It is important to develop cultural competence when helping others on a personal level. I have accidentally offended some in my past not knowing this...love how your heart reaches out to all...u are special! gwendolen
