What Christmas Means

What does Christmas mean Its more than the tree that's green It has a symbolic meaning That some dont understand Let me explain Its not about the Present But the presence Of people that you care about Its about the spirit The uplifting Please hear me out Christmas is about giving to those Who are less fortunate Trading your acts of kindness For a smile It carries a long way And it is worth your while Children playing in the snow In there gloves Representing what we call An act of love Smiles that you never thought That on a face you can see lit Christmas means so much to me Oh no this is not it Christ is what its all about I know we all have different beliefs Have you really ever sat down And thought of the meaning Of the wreath? Or has it become about what you can get Instead of give Being ungrateful Instead of blessed Not trying to help those who have less Or haven't had a decent meal ?? Lets dedicate this Christmas to the ones Who cant light that tree The ones that are happy Just because And when they see you They know you represent love Whether they're older Or just have been given birth They're the most precious things on this earth Whether our loved ones are here or not In our hearts there's always a spot Tis the season Deck the halls Help those who continuously fall Laughter and love is in the air Take a seat pull up a chair Watching movies Having great times Spirits lifted That's my definition of Christmas Written by:Concetta Hardnett 12/13/2015
