Weekend At Montauk
A heart that still beats
Unsteady at best,
Longing so long...
for a chance to rest...
Shooting stars
Shoot the breeze,
Falling leaves,
Cut down trees
Shooting stars,
One magical night,
On our way home,
Well before daylight...
The night
of the moondance,
I remember it well,
Home from Montauk,
With tales to tell
Fireplace sparkled,
Champagne bubbles too,
Warm bubble bath,
Room for two...
Wrapped in a blanket
on the terrace...
By the sea
Memories entrenched
Of my lover and me...
Steak and onions
That made me cry
A chance to relive,
For which I'd die
Tranquilizing surf,
Sweet morning's rise,
That priceless look
of love, in your eyes,
Those were the days
I'll always prize.
