Waited

So long the rain tarried Often would I look out the window It has refused to stop My heart travelled all the way Walking the streets as it rained Searching for the life that makes it tick All alone it wondered To no avail he saw nothing He would always stop at the sight Thinking he had seen her Calling out with all his strength But no one heard No one answered The clock ticked and the time raced Every effort exploited Every corner searched ‘I could not see my heart’ My heart would always say I know my heart will not come back in vain He must come back with his heart.
