Venom

I can taste the venom on my tongue Poised to strike but forced to choke on poison To be a better person It’s warm and bitter but I can taste my destiny And I’m thankful it’s sweeter than honey With each toxic dose the old me dies My days look brighter and Heaven is a little closer You’re provoking me Threatening my territory and refusing to leave I’m trying to let you walk away unscathed But if you want me to bite I will bite
