Unrequited Love

Unrequited Love She sits in a room and stares at a sight A lonely impulse of a dimming light Streaming across through a crack in the blind For she knows he will not be here tonight There was a time when the sun pulsed great light And brillant was their love with colored hues delighting favor with their favorite muse An estactic joy with rapture unbound Redundant as a vibrant echoed sound Reverberating through a verdant glen Their tumultuous love had died and then She sits there in her lonely room and pouts And ponders at the love thats gone and past Their love was not as strong enough to last Unrequited Love Contest Sponsored by Nayda Ivette Negron November 29,2016

Ralph you have captured the moments of unrequitedness perfectly. Its the questions left unanswered that eat at your being. At least that was my experience.

Ralph, Congratulations here on your win in this previous contest with this rhyme. Your verse touches one's emotions and definitely tugs at one's art. I, too, have written in the past on this particular subject in one of my earlier poems. Excellent Work!! Best Always, Gary
