Unrequited Love

You catch me staring lost in a daze. Seeing you with her always ruins my day. Some say you glance my way but I can't say its true. I try not to get caught looking at you. The way your eyes light up when you smile will always melt my heart But now that she is around I don't know my part. I've tried showing you how loyal and faithful I could be. Becoming frustrated with the fact that I can't make you love me. Everyone tells me I should let go and leave you alone. That you have too much drama and are not quite grown. I force a smile on my face and swallow my pride But as the pain becomes more intense it becomes harder to hide. Retreating to the solitude of my room so nobody sees me cry. Just enough to wake up the next day and be able to push those thoughts aside.
