Unrelenting

How does my body This flesh that withholds my soul,, manage to bear the weight from the chains that have been embedded upon my bequeathing heart? Where does one hide the pain that is encrusted upon these eyes that are dreary and now fail to sleep? Why cant my mind acquit, my heart adrift, my skin ache for the touch of another? Does it have to be me that has to live with this night, because happiness is the other side of this mirror? h

stunning write young poet....you need no such thing (constructive criticism) it cause the artist to veer to each their (the critiquer's) visions, theories, ect.....you will sit and ponder the critiquer's approach to writing skills, thus stymying your Cerebrum's engram from spilling 'pon slip; your real! just spill, i'll read...i love hanging with artists, particularly; writers...have a great journey...much love, james

Words of flowing Beauty. Reading this poetry I hear a heart that searching for the understanding of self and love within existence. To know and understand the heart while searching for the soulmate promised by Destiny. This poetry speaks of the sadness endured while waiting for fate. A specific sadness I see every time I look in the mirror.

Your words reflect doubts, unanswered questions and the longing for what you find hard to attain. Yet, you know that behind the mirror there are solutions...one just needs to dare more, to take a few steps into un-trodden paths, to sail uncharted seas. I love the way how you express your feelings, H. A very worthy poem with which to make your debut on Soup! ~ Regards // paul

It's a shame I didn't see this poem sooner. I really can relate to this in many ways. This was resounding, powerful & full of wisdom, hidden in between the lines, that we all could use more than ever.
