Unmerited Love

I have not honored you as I should I have not praised you for all your good Still you love me as no other would I have turned a blind eye Towards the truth Trusted in lie’s Chased after many falsehoods Still you love me as no other would Every day you are there Listening attentively for no other reason Other than you care Nothing I have done merits your love Your sacrifice, your mercy or your grace Obedience is all I can give And though I have lacked even in this Still you have loved me as no other would Surrendering now once again In obedience as a witness of your good Not because you have refused me But because you loved me like no other could.
