Under the Weight of Words

The pedestal has crumbled I have fallen from great height Not the perfect kind of friend I can't seem to get it right My words have limitations My actions are misconstrued Can't give enough assurance I guess I'm a messed up dude So now I'm left to wonder Is there something wrong with me A friendship without conflict Is it just a fantasy Now I sit here and ponder How did it all go so wrong Perhaps it was an illusion All I wanted was to belong Each, chooses their direction One stays and the other goes Hurt by misunderstandings As both pain and sadness grows

It is sad when any friendship ends but it takes two to make it work and two to end it. As humans we make mistakes and we correct them or choose not to repeat them. All part of living.

No such thing as a perfect friendship but because we love them we learn to bend and hopefully our friend does too. We are blessed with people in our lives, some for a long time and some for a short time but everyone contributes to who we are. Thank God for the ability to love Well done Love Mom

Dear Richard, we do choose our own directions and sometimes it does lead to pain. Still, I believe if you find the right person, you will feel better about yourself. beautiful, again you have added poetic genius to every day happenings. I have had some major disagreements and bad times with my good friends, and we are all much stronger for it today, true friends stick by through thick and thin! ( as I know you know )

I can feel the pain in this write, Richard. As long as there are TWO people, there will be differences of opinion and ways of viewing things. If the friendship is worth it, it will stand the test of time. There is NO relationship without conflict. That's a fact of life. Some things are worth fighting for....friendship is one of those things.

Aristotle, the Greek philosopher of the 4th century BC has said, that friends are those who have one soul in two bodies and added that those who have many friends in reality have none! A true friendship is a two way street, as you know my friend, Richard! A true friend thinks of his friend first and then for himself! If the other person who we consider our friend doesn't feel the same then he is not our friend and should not suffer for him! Nothing is wrong with you! Actions prove our words!

I feel the weight of your words, Rick. There are times when no matter how good our intentions are, they just aren't enough -for the time being. That's why we learn to be patient, just letting the other person feel that whenever he/she is ready, we'll still be there, waiting. Once again, you've shown sensitivity, Rick. It matters a lot.

Friends are like family,They know us like our mirror and so do we.Friendships arent always plain sailing.Friends fight,friends quarrel,friends have misunderstandings and disagreements,but what makes them friends,is that they always find a way to love and support each other again..Thats what makes them special.We are not perfect and our words may not always come out in ways our friends desire, but i do care about the intention and not the deed mostly,and im sure friends have good intent always.Deep-fiction or not,and shows how one should care always and treasure friends..Btw thanks for being a friend!!
