Unbearable Beauty In Black
Her black long gown covered her all,
Neckline designed with a beautiful lace.
Even the satin scarf matched her attire,
Shimmering skin and a beautiful face.
She appeared glued to garden bench,
As it slightly drizzled, she didn't leave.
While breeze played with her curly hair,
I smiled, but no response did I receive.
Her perfect black eyes touched my soul,
I imagined her as fairy tale princess.
Could she be from a different planet?
Silently stared at her long black dress.
She felt the bench with both hands,
And then something she tried to find.
Behind the bench she grabbed walk stick,
I was shocked to know she was blind.
The only color she knew was black,
And her day was as dark as the night.
I admired her courage and beauty in black,
She left, watched her until out of sight.
