Two Wooden Ducks
There they sit at bottom of stairs
two ducks carved so finely of wood
such an image they do convey today
sitting here by water giving mindful food
On holiday by the water edge
blue sky with sun shining bright
pleasure boats sailing idly by
ducks waddling by glistening sunlight
These graceful delightful creatures
some swimming others sitting on grass
they seem so at peace with themselves
as they let all the world just pass
As one considers all of this
the mind goes back to home
these wooden ducks images reveal
all the year remember I this mome
These ducks paint such a picture
of allowing this world to pass by
as there's a far better one to come
for who believe on Jesus from on high
(this was a written last year on holiday sitting at lake watching the ducks being reminded of our two wooden ducks at home.)
