Autumn rains and fall breezes In a park of empty benches and red leaves Somber moods and downcast skies Not a soul to ask at all the whys She saw him He saw her As both rushed from nowhere to there They glanced at each other but did not bother to stare So both benches remained lonely an empty As cold as the winter’s oncoming snow Love that may have sparked, sadly a no show The odds where against, it was one in twenty Love is a fickle force She was twenty he an older Norse Autumn tears and weary clouds For what was not, now would never be Thus this November brings out the sadness in me.

Oh a very romantic story. The Deepest love is the love that have all odds against it but still survives...Very sad ending makes the poem more real...I love.this Arturo. The empty park benches...Yay those give a sad imagery indeed.Awesome post.

It hurts when we miss out on something that could have been special. Next time stare but make sure she doesn't have a boyfriend.
