Two Lugworms At the Beach

Sitting near the ocean's edge, with my ever present pad and pen, I watch a lugworm burrow down through the muddy cracks and crevices in the wet sand, perhaps creating his own underground moats and castles. And like this lowly lugworm, I, too, burrow down through the sand, searching in every crack, cranny and crevice for just the right word to finish my poem. I run my fingers through the sand, each grain a word.

Nice Poem, Darlene. The connection of the lugworm to your search for poetic words is greatly expressed. Enjoyable overall. Check out some of my poems. Might find some you like. Peace.

Thanks, Jiril, for your comments and of course I'll go right now and read some of your poems. I appreciate your invite as I'm rather new here (a few months) and trying to make friends with other poets to connect with.

That goes both ways, Maurice, from one poet to another. I am happy to claim you as a poet friend and someone to share thoughts and poems with.
