Trapped

There is no place to run. The fire is all around, dry grass is feeding flames. I'm fighting it alone. The roof is now ablaze and I am so weary. I was duly warned, but didn't listen. Couldn't leave my home, now it is too late. Colorado burns. Praying aloud, no where to turn. Fascinated as fire draws near. God above please hear me. Hold me close. Hands clasped, eyes closed. Trapped.
