Unfortunately, this event really did happen in our neighborhood this past September. A neighbor who knew them well gave me a few details. I did not know the woman or family, but I am devastated for them and keep them in my prayers.
Her father loved her most when she did exactly what he wanted.
She became a perfect daughter, perfect wife, perfect smile, perfect kids.
Yet inner demons haunted her all the while. They mocked and taunted.
"You're a failure, not good enough." Over time, she lost the will to live.
Her husband came home to a perfect house, as she swung upon the rafters.
