Unfortunately, this event really did happen in our neighborhood this past September. A neighbor who knew them well gave me a few details. I did not know the woman or family, but I am devastated for them and keep them in my prayers.

Her father loved her most when she did exactly what he wanted. She became a perfect daughter, perfect wife, perfect smile, perfect kids. Yet inner demons haunted her all the while. They mocked and taunted. "You're a failure, not good enough." Over time, she lost the will to live. Her husband came home to a perfect house, as she swung upon the rafters. Written on 10/26/2015

It is sad, Olive. And what's worse is that she was a pastor's wife. At least there is comfort that she is with the Lord.

I lost a good friend of mine in similar fashion, Laura. No warning of what was to come, then his brother found him hanging when he opened the front door. I think he's still there- the house has been up for sale twice, already. A good write on a sad topic. Viv x

I am so sorry for your loss, Viv. It is truly tragic. Such a hard thing to witness, and the loss to the family is incalculable.

Laura a well pinned write, best to you in the contest. We had a friend that took his life a few weeks ago. He was in debilitating arthritic pain and it was so sad that he ended it so soon. I enjoyed the read~ Caryl
