Tragedy Soaked Paradise
Only once before have I cried
Tears made of sunlight
My pain
Is released of me bleeding rain
I forget my name
In a tragedy soaked paradise
I guess, all that is lost will carry a price
Then demons begin to feel nice
Fingertips pressed in soil
Become roots penetrating the earth
We are children of the planets
Making love and war
Staring
And asking the galaxy
Just what we were brought here for
"What purpose do I serve?"
"What breath do I deserve?"
I gave up my seat
To gain the appreciation of the creature
Crawling beside me
Now, inside me
As far as this will let me see
Is this beast
Rage-filled, hatred
Living in my heart
Feeding off of what tears me apart
With long jagged nails
Threatening to rip through my skin
With a razor tongue and a wicked grin
He is caged within
Then my chaotic chariot burns my skin
Horses made of flames
Draped in plague
I still forget my name
Ice cold eyes
Reigns held by demise
Drawn by the one
Whose urges I despise
In my dreams
He had hooves for feet
And bright red eyes
That thing inside of me
That makes me burn alive
