Too Much Sunshine Makes a Desert

One moment the sun is beaming, next second storms upon you. One moment bells are jingling, next minute they don’t ring true. One moment you’re a king, now merely just a peasant. Don’t blink for in that moment you move past the present’s presence. Don’t fall asleep while at the helm, wake to find a different realm. You fell in slumber under spell, for granted you took the water well. Now you thirst, you’re just a shell, far worse off if you can’t tell. Cling to love, even that repels; you blink and found it vanished. Moments turn to memoirs, no stones or mountains unturned. When you decide to make it right, might find that bridge is burned. Imagine living life, thinking your cards could never fold? Dealer’s waiting with a hand that could turn volcano’s cold.
