Tomorrow Please Be Yesterday

Idyllic time when I was born The world was soft the world was warm Gentle breezes combed our hair Nature’s wonders were everywhere The trees and seas and fields of grain The soft caresses of the rain Yes I had the measles, mumps and such But truth be known they weren’t so much Mothers love the soothing cure it was kind it was sure Sugar diabetes we never knew (until adulthood I never knew of one case) For most of my life I swear that’s true ADHD no chemical tools our Fathers cured it or we were fools Pandemic illness oh they exist Created sadly by man’s assist However none point out the truth The worst virus we’ll ever see Out of control population will kill us sure Hear them knocking at our door I hate to tell them there is no more…boy are they mad
