To Sleep, Perchance To Dream

To sleep, perchance to dream And float on clouds of cream Then dip in passion’s stream And bask in sunlit beam To lie in flowers fair Butterflies in my hair With love enough to spare With joy I’ll lead you there Your fairy dressed in light Your kisses to incite Drench you in pure delight Bring pleasure to your sight Dip you in honey sweet Your love is mine to eat Ecstacy is my treat Your craving I will meet Your wish is my command I'lllet you guide my hand Bow down to your demand Love's words I understand Close your eyes, hear the sound Rhapsody’s all around Together we are bound This love dance does astound To wake, perchance to see You lying next to me Forever you will be My waking fantasy For Nathan's Fairy Contest

Wow!!! Nathan...3rd place. An honor.....Would you believe that I read this very poem on Drake's show lasr Sunday???? This very one!!!! I just made a slight change in line four to make the beat correct.....The Bard would turn over in his grave if he read my take on Hamlet's soliliquy, but should his ghost appear to seek revenge, I will read to him this lovely post of yours. Thanks..I'm beaming....

I bet Shakespeare wishes he'd thought of this, Auntie you've used that opening line to create a perfect fantasy. You're my favourite fairy lol. Take care, Richard

:) Why thank you, Richard. Took a course on Shakespeare and His Contemporaries. Wasn't drudgery, but pure bliss! I LOVED IT! I LOVE HAMLET. Saw a couple of different versions of it. This soliloquy was fascinating. Of course, I must give it a different twist, mustn't I! :) Who are the other fairies? Good to know the competition!

I love how the waking world ended up being even more amazing than this colorful "dream world". It's amazing when one finds this person that makes their wildest dreams pale in comparison. Looks like you found yours ;)
