To See the Glass Half Full {note To Self}

To always be sure, to always know the right, to always know the right thing to say in adversity, To always do the common good, To always do right for the right reasons, To always give proper credit where due, To always forgive my sister- ladies, to dance for the dance's sake, to rejoice with other's joy and forget self, To celebrate everyone's blessings and mourn their loss, To be able to see what is good, To always see the glass half full!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^^^^^^^^^~~^^^^~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ <^^^^^^^^^^^^^> For the concrete poem-negative space contest, inspiration given by Deborah Guzzi "J Note to myself! If I could find this person she/he would be the perfect president!!

true words to live by. The next step for someone in your mindset is to remember to apply these lessons when the world doesn't seem kind to you. If you could hold on to this amazing frame of mind 24/7 you wouldn't believe the inner peace it brings. I didn't until I experienced it first hand, though it took a lot of time and practice. You know I read Deb's comment at the bottom and I still think Obama fits the bill:) His book 'Audacity of Hope' is almost literally a glass half full approach.

Really love the message here, Doris. Lots of good advice we can all take to heart. And you have my vote for president if you should decide to run (lol). Also enjoyed the picture you created. Very clever as well as inspirational! Love, Carolyn

I love the optimism reflected within the lines of this read... I'd rather think of the cup being half full that way it has a chance of being filled to more than the brim, over-flowing with the joys of life. I thank you Doris forsharing the read and for your very kind comments. Good Luck with the contest. God Bless, Always, Adell
