To My Son
To my little boy,
This poem’s for you.
It was March 17th ,
That you made your debut.
Cute as a button,
I wrapped you up tight,
And then mommy held you,
From morning till night.
As I watch you grow,
You surprise me each day.
You fill me with joy,
As you laugh and you play.
No matter what happens,
I want you to know,
I will always love you
Wherever you go.
