To Hold Your Heart Out
To Hold Your Heart Out
Those things which a mind will not forgive
burn like a hot coal in tender hands
Such hate allows not a decent Soul to live *------- (finality)
where darkness eats into fertile lands
Ash and soot cling to the fireplace stack
soothing heat in each night's slow burn
Rushing waters flood the gulleys out back *------- (change)
where Fall drops leaves and colors turn
Once your sweet lips were coldly rejected
a sad mistake caused by grievous lies
Desperate because kind heart was neglected *------- (memories)
tears fell like rain from stormy skies
Yet truth came to give its sweet release
when requested to hold your heart out
Your misery grew great and would not cease *------- ( truth)
the unforgivable words you did shout
Those things which a mind will not forgive
burn like a hot coal in tender hands
Such hate allows not a decent Soul to live *-------(finality)
where darkness eats into fertile lands
