To Dance With Folly

To claim heart's defeat with blind perception, And burden the world with nurtured weakness. To cry long with vanity's deception, As though self-affliction is still blameless. To bring a grievance, a contrived issue, That pours from a soul possessed, where pain dwells. To recall words an attack you construe, As you rehearse the goodbye's and farewells. Finding no honor with this cross you bear, As it's built by your own hands to display. This self-sustained discourse a cloak you wear, To give comfort in your winter's dismay. The birth of this pain an echo you brought. Frightened sounds from a world, in which you're caught. Contest.. Denial
