Underneath all the layers Of tradition Of religion Of philosophy Of reason and understanding I smolder In passion's pleasure bed of red Paroxysms of pleasure Emanate from my core Searing the shroud Flames of fantasy's feast burn Yearning I yearn and lie in wait In my ambuscade with the relish to ravish ravaging every fiber Conceived in the throes of passion My conception is my perception of life Woven into my being I’m prisoner to pleasure monomania Obsession of desire hysteria My cacoethes: gratification gratified Thus, I scintillate sparks Riding on my satin flares They captivate your stare You see me Feeling the heat of sultry flame You want to play scorch torch game So your reach out to touch Mere kindling in my blazing wake You quake as I slake your florid fantasy awake Convulsing in temptation’s torment You combust to lust Consummating till consumed Eliciting my passion flower bloom In opulent oriental room You swoon Exertion exhausted Gratification’s glory gained Having tasted my reign Revived your leave Yet… My image I’ve seared On your flesh and mind Branded, you’ll find Your way back to me Slave to my passion's decree You’ll come to me And I retreat Enshrouded once more In virgin layers Of tradition Of religion Of philosophy of reason and understanding Biding my time when sensuality sublime calls me to bloom in her red flame Eileen

"Yearning I yearn and lie in wait In my ambuscade with the relish to ravish ravaging every fiber" Wow...I'm glad I chose this poem to read...I love how you bring back the tradition, religion, and philosophy...quite a intriguing piece, and a beautiful photo as well. "You combust to lust Consummating till consumed" Your way with words is brilliant! Always, Laura

Brilliat write. Such words such passion. I am in awe of such depth of feeling. Expressions like " I’m prisoner to pleasure monomania" Just add to the growing intensity of the work. The last two stanza's make the piece a masterpiece, You have enslaved your lover with your passion and then you retreat to the world of reason until you are called out again by your need of sensuality. Has to get a 7 it is the best poem of yours i have read so far. into favourites it goes. Love shane xxx

Thank you for your kindness, Rajat. I appreciate your visits. I'm glad you like my avatar. I love taking pictures. I also love collecting photos. It's a hobby of mine. When I'm down...I go through the pics I've collected on my phone. It soothes me. Remember the community in which I live...celebrating sensuality is something I try to confine to my poetry...It is the way of life. Thank you.

No fiber escapes the eclipse of your heated needs, no heart you target survives without taste...Ooooooo.....this is succulent poetry of primal root! "Riding on my satin flares, they captivate your stare..." Your soul, sensual and severe. The ebb and flow of this passion's spirit is so awesome. This poem has it all! Mmmmm....so willing, yet so enslaved. This is a masterpiece. You are supremely extreme Beloved Poetess...J.A.B.

Your comment is so amazing...I read it to my family the other day....to prove to them several things...but one being, there are intense people in this world who are as steeped in passion as I am. It's not the first time they hear about you....or see your picture. ;) Hearts are targets of words, Justin. Your arrows fly true....You are a poetry archer yourself. I think of you as a gladiator and an eagle...but strangely enough, it's your comments that make me soar and give me the strength to fight on many fronts. For that...I do thank you.

I'm a bit better, Richard. I'll see if I can write something. Family is away again. :( Both hubby and daughter on this trip to Turkey. I get left behind due to my teaching schedule. Been a long lonely day...I'll be ok. They come back on Friday, so....not so bad this time. Thanks for always supporting me. I appreciate it so much. Hugs

I must tell you, my sweet Kenny...When I don't visit you that often...you'll know I'm upset about being ignored. I'm silly that way...I need to get as much as I give or I get grumpy. You don't want a grumpy Betty on your hands....believe me. So this makes up for my lack of visits of late. I'll be around to see you soon. I've been on a bit of a break. Hugs...XOXOXOX

Hi Eileen! You might not be the woman in the picture, but you are beautiful in your own special way. Yes, this poem reminds me of the winning contest one; you are capable of branching out without losing your usual vigour and power of expression. I see the irresistible passionate woman that triumphs in so many of your poems...you hint at insatiable desire, and a mission to get what you set out to seek and obtain; I detect gentle aggressiveness; I detect a will of your own!:) // paul

I was quite frustrated with my inner circle for not understanding my passionate nature...I was going to write on that, but...I knew people would read into it...as they are prone to do with everything. I didn't want THAT to happen...Everything happens for a reason. I'm very pleased and proud of this write. It's an accomplishment for me. It took time and research...Thanks for listening, Paul...I feel comfortable sharing with you...

Glad you remember my previous write. That took me so long to write....I wanted so much to do well in that contest. I've been in discussion with Cyndi and Charlotte about the NEW way of writing. I'm so OLD school. I love rhyming. It's just the rhythm of my heart. I remember being devastated when they shared that publishers are not looking for this form of writing...Oh....better not remember that. Your comment, Paul...has depth. You have insight and discernment which is a sign of wisdom. :) We often write of what we seek...or lack...or desire. I originally meant to write this as a rant. I'm so tired of being told to tone things down...I started the poem along other lines, but this is how it developed.

Liam...How are you, my dear? I hope all is well...I'm sorry I haven't been around the last couple of days. I haven't been myself. Discouraged about a few things. Your poems seem to have that positive glow again. :) I love the romance in your heart...Few have that kind of love, loyalty, and dedication. Thanks for the visit. Will try to pass by soon...Hugs

Your Oh la la is my stamp of approval, Richard. You always grace my sensual writes with that and when it's not there....I feel it isn't up to standard! Glad you're over your sickness and can give me the affirmation I need from you. :) It's people like you who make me want to stay here, Richard. You know how often I've wanted to leave....It's people like you...who make all the negatives of this place...bearable. I will always be grateful for your support. Hugs

First of all that is not a very good picture of you though I do love the red heart. I find the picture of you that you use as your icon so much more attractive. You are the Queen Of Romance and this is just one more testament proving exactly that. Excellent!

Ah....good one, Maurice. Thanks for dropping by. I was beginning to get discouraged as you haven't visited of late and I've visited you. Yes, I'm silly that way. ;) Thanks for the compliment, but I'd die for her figure! ;) Obviously you didn't read my....I'm a little Duck poem. Why do some women have it all???? ;) Thanks for the boost.

Ah....not so sure of the summer now. Hubby might not go to the meetings....We'd get to go on the office travel allowance, but...if he isn't going, no way we can make it. :( If plans change, I'll sure let you know...but for now...won't make it this year....SO, glad to know you'll stick around. HUGS

I agree with Craig -- your word choices were outstanding -- I love roses -- this one was deep red and blooming wide open -- showing a sensual beauty -- now a bud again waiting to unfurl it's love again. I wish I could write like this -- such intensity! Awesome Little One, 7

Oh...you are humble, my dear, but thank you for the encouragement. I needed it. There is a storm brewing outside. University was canceled today. In the ensuing lull of the storm, I dashed up to my office and got what I need for tomorrow. It's going to be COLD...but, Uni is open...schools have closed. I'm keeping warm in bed. Thanks for the visit.
