Tired Eyes

Keep this new leaf turned if you’re to banish all concern, Regrets from mediocrity will never cease to burn. And punish those whose guilty minds allow them scattered sleep, Tight lips are bitten harder, Tired eyes begin to weep. Every step just an inch too high. The switch just out of reach. The black dog moving faster, Crossing paths ‘til we meet. Keep this new leaf turned if you’re to banish all concern, Regrets from mediocrity will never cease to burn. And punish those whose guilty minds allow them scattered sleep, Tight lips are bitten harder, Tired eyes begin to weep.
