Time To Heal

Looking deep inside I try to find the answers to all the things that are tearing at my heart. I am seeking truth and praying for redemption but I need time to heal for I've been torn apart. I want to leave the hurt that I have known behind me sear the bleeding wounds, so many still remain. Even though the scars may be thick upon me they are only scars if I live through the pain. I am on my knees begging for sweet mercy praying for the life of my dying soul. Just let me rest a while within your tender caring so I can gain the strength to reach my final goal. Through the dark of night the storm may keep on raging but when the morning comes the day just might be clear. Then I'll be on my way heading toward my future and in my beating heart I will hold you near.

People are being held down by the pain inside their hearts and most of them don't talk about. This poem is good enough to open their eyes and minds. I've really loved it

More understanding than mercy. You write with a lot of pain. Some of the kids I work with carry guilt that isn't theirs. You write well and express feelings some cannot. You bring something special to the table. Believe that! God Bless. Vince

Poignant, with an ultimately redemptive ending. So well expressed, with a beautiful cadence and fine fourh-line rhyming. BRAVO Robin! Love, Keith
