Time Difference
The passing of three generations.
Not changing your shirt
for three days.
Is this nuclear escalation?
of a new era,
or just wheat fields in the middle of a sway?
What counts time?
A clock that measures
the pulses of the universe,
or the relativity
that relates it.
Either way
can the melting snow,
the sprouting weed,
the change of season,
does it matter?
What is different now,
so important to us
that won't be relevant
to the past?
Washing three days ago,
and my nails are full of dirt.
Does this mean God is dead?
or just make time for the show,
it is what we work for,
locked up in the houses of the head.
