Thoughts On Rain
THOUGHTS ON RAIN
petals unfurl fresh delicate buds
as dawn yawns a promise at sunrise
innocent blooms lift heads skywards
naïve to gathering clouds dark guise
tenderly first raindrops mislead
gently sprinkling softly trickling
flowers drink in fresh wet beads
dry soil turrets gather rippling
out of the blue torrential showers
beat down hard on fragile heads
bowed to ground by waters weight
delicate blooms made weak instead
clouds disperse as sunrays immerse
buds slowly lift humbled and frail
heat wavers in mopping moist soil as
blooms open up their exquisite detail
life’s storms will batter our frames
as God lovingly strengthens within
earthly tempests threatening squall
we grow in Faith and free from sin
