Third End Twelfth Beginning
Stars all shine in this memory of mine
Several times I've seen it end
And every time, I died
A little bit of my soul goes with me always
The third time that it hurt the most
The twelfth time I must see
The huddled crowds of my peers
A portrait washed in gray
They march with me and fall with me
Perfectly linked until we all start crashing
Stranger things have happened
I won't pretend I'm alone
When I've seen it all and lived it all
In you
It's all coming to what we've wanted all along
Through what we've learned and suffered
It isn't that much longer
The heat was quelled but its effects were present
Struggling to find my place
Tell me, just who am I?
In this huddled mass of my peers
A portrait washed in gray
All alike but separate
Perfectly linked but we all fight it
Stranger things have happened
I won't pretend I'm alone
When I've seen it all and saved it all
From you.
