They Ride the Skies

A grand display; sailing flames. sky-dance at night, beneath the moon. Parting the clouds, its journey, a thrill, is the end of these lives. Meteors live long and die hard after their last, grand flight.

This is such an excellent Sijo overflowing with awesome imagery! It reminds me of a recurring dream I have and through your words, you brought it to life for me in a way that I couldn't describe as well as you did here! A-7!

Ah, but it's nice to dream...you may find a soul mate with quite a few of those qualities. Loved it though. Thanks for stopping by my page to read and comment.

Meteors, they go out like fireworks, flashing through the sky. They end their life with a bang that only the sky can hear. I enjoyed your poem.

You must not live in a big city - you are lucky that you can see meteor showers. I live in Manhattan where you really can't see such things. Nice sijo! Peace & Love Matthew Anish

I am in the suburbs, but there is a college nearby with a wonderful arboretum which, has a large field. People take their telescopes there and watch the showers; it's very nice. Thanks for visiting and commenting.
