There it was

There it was,
One bite to know it all,
The eyes mesmerized,
Ears already filled
With the venomous words,
The hand did stretch,
O…. the sweetness of sin
Would not hurt to share….
Eyes began to see,
Leaves may not suffice
To hide the shame within,
One last glimpse
Of the lost bliss
There it was,
Far-stretching land,
All beneath this pinnacle,
One word to possess it all…..
The wooden mark of shame,
One man to bear it all,
The Face turned away,
O Eli Eli………..
