Then I Have a Cup of Tea

I take my pills then check e-mails She sometimes files my fingernails On basic things we both agree Then I have a cup of tea She helps me chose what I should wear Puts on my shoes and combs my hair Bandages my damaged knee Then I have a cup of tea I'm powdered, perfumed and arranged. Disguising just how much I‘ve changed She comes here to take care of me Then I have a cup of tea Being showered, dried and dressed Leaves me feeling dispossessed Say goodbye to autonomy Then I have a cup of tea
