The Yearbook

The Yearbook The years have since gone by— aged seniors now are we. I scan each page to see lost friends with teary eye; then note, with relieved sigh, some are still here with me. Our yearbook is online— my high school friends all there. But posted clear to share, a list beneath a sign of those who crossed the line and climbed our Heaven's stair. Salutes to each dear friend— here—joy and sorrow blend. Sandra M. Love the unique topic you chose for this contest, Sandra. We hold reunions every ten years; so far only a couple have passed away...but we all have changed drastically! ~ Congratulations on a creative write and a merited win. Take care. // paul

Thank you, Olive, for your nice comment on my poem, and about my getting back. I find it difficult to devote the time I would like to spend here, so I will off and on when I can. Hugs, Sandra

I am sure your yearbook brings many happy memories especially of those no longer with us - it is not something we ever had at our school but it is something they have introduced in the last few years at the school I work at - good luck in the contest:-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks, Jan. Our high school has had annual yearbooks printed since 1935, and now they are posted online too. We lost 128 from my graduating class already, many of whom I knew quite well. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Sandra
