The Writing Game
All of us here on Poetrysoup
are in the writing game
How to make cash?
How to achieve fame?
These are the questions
We ask before taking up our task
of filling up pages
of writing for the ages
We move our pens over pages white
If we feel real inspired we can write all night
The words pour out
There are conventions to flout!
Our words will make hearts burn
And make our names great
Now it is your turn
For this is our fate
