I really love this poem as I adore seasonal poetry, and this one is so visually compelling and stark (like the mother tree!). Love the form of the ending too. Really wonderful! ~Juliane

Your usual excellence, Lanie, but, on the other hand, that twiggly mother seems, stoically, to accept nature, standing upright and horrifically proud! Not a criticism, just a musing. Love, daver

This was wonderful to read. Such imagination and almost makes one sad to see the leaves falling off the trees in our own yard! Good job! ~Carrie
