The Weeping Willow
My feet are so dry
I prefer to soak them in pools of water
Please rain soon or I will lose my mane of lovely leaves
I am a cry baby, yet am easy to please
Just soak me, run a garden hose over me, let me wallow.
I will say thank you with some gorgeous colours
From yellow/green to blue.
Come the autumn, nothing can save my draped mantle
as it floats gracefully to the floor, making a glamorous carpet.
I stay and suck up the grounds dregs, awaiting spring.
To live and glow again.
