The Web

I am a Captive in my own web. I am the Captain of my own destruction. I am caught, caught in the middle. Stuck in the web of mistakes I tangled myself into. Instead of beautiful silk, threads of lies and insults encase my body. Regret penetrates me spreading from my head down to my feet. I know the way out but the words I need to say wont come out of my mouth. I am Stunned, stunned that I could create such a carefully woven disaster. I put no thought into the weaving and did not care about the mistakes until they came and stabbed me in the back. But Finally, I am free. I am free because I unwove the web. I unwove the web with truth, and flattery, sweet flattery that flew from my lips as if I had always possessed this quality.
