Amongst my valley of sacred dreams, a single Reddened rose grows, tender leaves of emotion’s Blowing within my garden of inner hearts chamber. Textures delicate layers, blossoming in the shadow Of loves burning passion, nurtured in desire’s private Council, my valentine bestows devotions previous Gift unto me, compassion, beauty and mercy of the Raw fleshes inner core exposed, Unraveling my blackened tresses, shaking them free With reckless abandonment, does not mine own Tender petals of innocence fall above him, in A showing rainbow of colors array, these gentle Blossoms for-get-me-knots. In vows chapel of hopes promise, two souls spoke Without words, but in the eyes of our future, volumes Exchanges with every touches softest caress, and Moistened kiss. Wrapped in satin sheets of pleasures undenied, we Form the union of our own valentine, smiling within The heights of exhilarations at each other. Floating dreamers, set adrift mingling in the Celebration of living, tasting the infinite, clinging To the hearts beating, in the silence of the night. Bring me no flowers, nor tokens of melted chocolates Confections, nay I’ve been given the best of thee, Tonight dearest Valentine, to share myself with thee. Spin your silver tongues verse in the air, forging crystal Castles of fortunes folly, I dare not care for these ideal Creations, for I am yours, heart and soul, my Valentine, Forever throughout eternity. Can you not hear the broken wings of the angels heaing, Flapping, they thus weep no more, for loves hope Of promise has been restored within our union. We’ve found the end of heaven’s rainbow, Within each other’s embrace, let the white doves Soar, releasing their soft appendages upwards, To brush against the face of the most majestic Spirit on high, and he two smiles at us, winking With spiritual joy. So let age’s timeless clock tick away, I’m Thus content to lay beside thee, in wrinkles, Or elderly pains of agony, I’ll not leave, for we Are the lucky sprits of loves devotion, Valentines Of the spiritual, that is found in true loves Union, beneath endless sky of the infinite. The gifts of roses and chocolates are not as important as who we are spending Valentine's day with. You've expressed that so tenderly here. A lovely poem written straight from the heart. Very nicely done, Cheri!
