The Undertaker of Time

As sure as the sun comes up to emblazon the sky, it will travel up to reach its peak then down its path; For without the sunset to mark the end of each day on the horizon, and herald the coming of the night, how can man acknowledge the passing of time?

I wonder if we are mesmerised by sunsets as we wave goodbye to that day in our lives as it joins the sun dipping below the horizon. This is the image your poem brings in to my mind. Lovely image. Kind regards, Ian
