The Truth

I want to lay down with him wrapped in his arms and take in the smell of his aroma. I can remember all the comfort that surrounded him. It's something that would send chills through your hair. The laughter and joy that filled so many days, but then drained out and made everything crazy. Even you could no longer hold the walls together. We both let them crush us down. We can think of what we want but we will never get it. It's too late to make things better to be wonderful again. Now that would be wonderful. But we live in reality not in a dream. A dream that will never come true. A dream that just rests in our sleep. When we find it maybe then we can reverse it and start over. Until then I guess we'll just have to keep drowning our minds with hungry thoughts or our made-up resolutions. The truth is soon to show and our feelings will no longer hide, like they did before. We can't keep running away from the past. But we can distract it. If you want something bad enough, nothing will stop you from getting it. Why do you think I'm still here? Why do you think I haven't walked away yet? It's not what I want. It's not what you want either. I miss you. Where did you go? I feel like it's been forever sense I've seen your face, this close to mine. Don't leave me. Stay with me always and don't have second thoughts. The smell of your aroma captures me when I'm wrapped in your arms. All the comfort that surrounds me, sends chills throughout my body. The laughter and the joy. You can always forgive, but never forget. Written October 19, 2007
