The Trip To Grandma's

The trip to grandma's The snow has covered the ground. All the trees are white. The road to Grandma's house is covered in ice. Pa gets old tom the horse out of the barn. To make that trip once more this year. I set in the sled ready to go as I dream of apple and pumpkin pie. I can think only of the Turkey and how it must smell cooking in the oven. It's over the river and down the road the snow blows behind the sled. I stop my thoughts for just one minute. To give thanks to those that give me this day. To day is thanksgiving and I give thanks to all!
