The Time Has Come

The Time Has Come The time has come but not too soon To cast aside this failing cloak Then don the robes of silver moon And dwell in the peace of which He spoke. My work is done and breath is spent No name have I in history’s book My name to inventions I have not lent Nor discoveries made or journeys took I have hurt none, helped when I could None were turned from my door when in need I have worked for what was right and good And to evil took no heed To Him I have given my life and love His teachings formed my life Blessings were many from above Children grown stand with my wife I pray my choices in life were right And my soul free from worldly trials So when I travel towards the light I’ll be met with heavenly smiles.

Here it is Sunday and the begining of a new week is upon us. And August is leaving us way to soon. I am enjoying reading such excellent poems today and am happy to see your poetry among them Richard. May your pen forever flow. Love, Carol
