Author's Notes: "The Stars at Night" is a unrhymed couplet I wrote which centers on the theme of the stars being part of God's divine providence and the metaphorical essence they provide to mankind in helping to understand God's greater purpose which transcends our daily lives here on Earth. Beyond any esoteric discussion of the stars at night, is the simple reassurance that the stars, as physical symbols, provide an all-important visual link between Man and His Maker. At the human level, the stars have always been used in commonplace settings to highlight themes of beauty, love, emotion, redemption, and romance among men and women -- but always with an eye toward a greater meaning that all people aspire to in finding their purpose and destiny in life.
