The Stalker
I sat quietly in the dark,
could hear footsteps in the house,
why had he chosen me to stalk
what had I done to upset this louse.
no demands yet for money I know
what does he want , why doesn't he say
why does he follow me where ever I go
can't stand more stress, just want him away
he came into the room, my heart beats fast
shines a torch upon my terrified face,
holds out his hand, think is this moment my last,
he smiled, my fear left without trace.
I recognised him instantly a boy last we met
why have you frightened me wherever I go,
wasn't sure it was you, tried to talk, yet
you ran away, I needed to know
do you think of me, want you back in my life
my darling, want to ask you, to be my wife.
